Yeah, hadn’t posted much, have been active on twitter (yeah, tell me what’s new… you knew that, eh), and somewhat tired of facebook – will soon try the digital detox. But there’s this site called Surti Masti – a facebook page for those who read Gujarati, or wish to read in English about Gujarat and Gujaratis… never mind that, but here’s what I find… it captures well what I just wanted to say – in English, but hey, I speak Gujarati too… and this verse expresses just that. i.e.
No matter where you go, it’s the same stuff… the same news, the same recipes, just the media vehicle changes… one day it’s facebook, on another it’s twitter, what’s this Pinterest that you StumbleUpon, now should you Skype, HangOut or favor Magic Jack! Forget Reliance, download Viber; should I use the iPad or favor the iPhone… not to be cowed down by daughter-in-law nor her mom, we’re all so busy keeping in touch… not with family, nor with friends, but with technology. Just got the hang of Android, text messaging… but darn, if you ask me wassup, news is that WhatsApp was bought for 19 billion… oh, dearie me… dollars? Wow… what’s that now? That’s FaceBook’s latest pre-fab baby… yeah yeah… millions have been using it already, and fB just acquired it with what… some loose change?
ઘણા સમય થી એકે નવી પોસ્ટ મૂકી નથી.
નિત નવું લાવ વું ક્યાંથી
નથી નવું કાંઈ સૂઝતું
નથી નવું કંઇ દેખાતું
એ ની એજ વાનગી ઓ

છે કાંઈ નવું તો એ છે

આજે facebook account ખોલો
તો કાલે twitter પર
ગઈ કાલ તો શરુ થયું’તું Google Hangout
તો આજે આવશે Pinterest અને Stumble upon
જોકે આ બધાય, છે તો હવે ઘણા જૂના સાધનો
દોસ્તાર ભાઈબંધ, સખી સહિયારા સાથે
સંપર્ક રાખવા ના
કાં તો છોકરા છોકરી, દીકરા દીકરી
વહુ હોય, કે વેવાણ હોય,
અમે પણ technology ને અપનાવી છે
અને આધુનિક છીએ એનો ભાસ કરાવ વા,
કે પછી iPad, iPhone નવો ખરીદ્યો
એનો થોડો સદુપયોગ કરવા,
કાં તો ‘touch’ માં રેહવા
સગા સંબંધી સાથે
ગપ્પા મારવા
Reliance ને છોડો
જોડો ફોન સેહ્લાઈ થી
magic jack ને મુકો બાજુએ
હલાવો number Viber થી
અરે અરે wassup તો સાંભળ્યું હતું
આ whatsapp વળી છે શું?
ઓહ હો હો ભલા માણસ
કઈ દુનિયા માં જીવો છો!
ખબર નથી આપ ને
આ તો છે SMS મોકલવાનું
નવું ‘એપ’!
ઓહ હો એમ કહ ને તયારે
નવું હશે તમારા માટે
whats app તો ઘણું જુનું થયી ગયું
એટલુ જુનું કે facebook ને થયું
આટલું પ્રચલિત છે
તો ચાલો ને ત્યારે આપણે જ
ખરીદી લઈએ એને!

આપણા માટે તો પરચુરણ કેહવાય!
તો હવે WhatsApp જે આમ તો
software દુનિયા માં
અધેડ વય નું કેહવાય
Facebook નું એ latest Baby ગણાય.
